  • Get used to it folks. Despite all our outrage, this is what 2012 and all future "elections" will look like. I agree with the person who posted that we should just count the $$ and award elections to the biggest Super-Pac, thereby saving all the time, energy, and annoyances of having a real election.

  • It probably shouldn't (his work at Bain), but it will. It fits his image as a wealthy, uncaring, out-of-touch out-for-himself businessman, which is not something he can flip-flop on because he is.

  • Well, hell, the minivan was in the Mercedes' space. Didn't know enough to get out on its own. You know, when you buy a Cadillac, the road comes with it. I guess a Mercedes at least rates its own ferry.

  • Like most governors in a similar situation, Barbour was probably rewarding, in some way, campaign contributors or friends. Only this case was outrageous. Wonder if any non-white prisoners were pardoned or given clemency???

  • I'm horrified! Why Clifford Still? I admire his works. Our local museum (Albright-Knox Art Gallery) has several of his paintings.

  • Though they may pay lip service, virtually all politicians don't care about the poor because a large percentage of the poor do not vote, and none of them donate significant money to political campaigns. The organizations who purport to speak for the poor are ignored. In this country, money speaks.
